Booking a lesson was more confusing than I thought it would be. I was trying to set it up through realwatersports.com, and like I said, the times kept changing around after I clicked through a few things, which made it hard to tell what was actually available.
I ended up calling just to double-check, and then my slot got moved to a later time anyway. The staff was nice about it, like I said, but the online scheduling felt clunky and a little stressful for something that should’ve been straightforward.

"Pretty good place to start"
I’m still new to kiteboarding, the site was easy enough to get the hang of. The beginner info, was actually really helpful, and made picking out gear feel way less confusing. It did take me a little while to compare everything, but overall, I had a good experience...

"More hassle than I expected"
I ordered from realwatersports it was a bit frustrating. The website itself was easy enough to use, but the updates were really slow and I ended up having to follow up just to figure out what was going on. Anyway... the item did arrive and it was fine, but the whole process felt like more work than it needed to be. I probably wouldn’t be in a hurry to order from them again
"Decent quality, but the scratches were disappointing"
The quality seems okay overall, but after just a few sessions my board already had some small scratches. I don’t expect things to stay perfect forever, but I do think it’s fair to expect a product to hold up a bit better early on. It’s not a total dealbreaker, just a little disappointing...

"Warranty Support Was a Mess"
I bought from Real Watersports i’m annoyed with how things went when I had an issue later. The warranty support was slow, unclear, and felt like nobody wanted to take responsibility for actually helping me. I had to keep following up, which shouldn’t be on the customer. Maybe the shop is fine for buying stuff, but the warranty process seriously let me down.

"Didn’t Feel Like Safety Was Taken Seriously"
I felt a bit rushed through the safety instructions, and it didn’t seem like the staff really checked everything as carefully as they should have. When you’re supposed to be relaxing and enjoying the session, you don’t want to be sitting there wondering if things were done properly. It ended up feeling more stressful than fun, and I left feeling like safety wasn’t taken seriously enough.

"Nice spot by the water, but getting in was a bit of a hassle"
I liked the location since it’s really close to the water, which was the main reason it worked for me. That said, getting in and out was a little more frustrating than I expected. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, and I’d still say it was decent overall, but in my opinion the access could definitely be smoother.

I’ll say this up front: realwatersports has a decent selection, especially if you’re into kite or foil gear. I found a few brands I already like, and the site wasn’t hard to get around, so it’s not like the shopping experience was bad or anything.
That said, I did notice the inventory felt a little hit or miss. Some sizes and colors were already gone, and there were a couple things I expected them to carry but couldn’t find. Maybe that’s just timing, but it still stood out to me.
Overall, I wouldn’t write them off at all. It’s a solid place to check, and I’d probably browse there again, but I’d also compare with a few other shops before buying.

I’ll be honest, the room wasn’t really what I was expecting. It had a bit of a musty smell, the bed felt worn out, and overall it just didn’t feel as clean as it should have for the price. I’m kind of tired of having to bring up basic stuff like this when staying somewhere, so I just dealt with it, but it was definitely disappointing...

"Demo was fine, but the rental process wore me out"
I rented some gear and tried out a demo board here. The staff was nice enough, but the whole setup felt rushed and unorganized. I ended up waiting around longer than I expected, and no one really explained the gear much, so by the time I got going I was already feeling mentally drained. The demo itself was fun once I was finally out there, but for the price I expected the service to be a lot smoother. Not a terrible experience, just kind of disappointing.

I tried using the site, but the pages were loading so slowly and the checkout kept freezing on me. After about ten minutes of dealing with it, I just gave up. How is anyone supposed to finish an order like that??

I reached out hoping to get some solid advice on a kite setup, but the whole thing felt rushed. It didn’t really feel like they took the time to understand my skill level or the conditions where I normally ride, more like I was just another ticket number they needed to get through. The gear they suggested didn’t end up being a good fit, and I had to go to another shop to get better guidance. Maybe other people have had better luck, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t trust their advice again.
"Exchange took a bit longer than expected"
I had to exchange my wetsuit for a different size, and the staff were helpful enough. The only thing is... the return shipping and updates took longer than I expected. It wasn’t a terrible experience, just kind of annoying having to wait around.

I went in hoping to get some basic help with picking the right gear, but the staff didn’t seem super confident about this stuff. I asked a couple questions and got different answers from two different people, and neither really explained the reason behind it.
Maybe I just came in on an off day or something, but it felt like they were kind of guessing instead of really knowing the products. I left more confused than when I walked in and ended up buying that gear somewhere else

My order showed up later than I expected. It wasn’t a huge deal, but the tracking barely updated, so I ended up waiting around not really knowing what was going on. That part was weird, but at least it did arrive in the end.

"Feels like it used to be more welcoming"
I was hoping to enjoy Real Watersports more, especially because I’d heard it used to have a more open, easygoing vibe. But when I visited, it just didn’t really feel like my kind of scene.
There were plenty of people around, and a few seemed friendly enough, but it also felt like everyone already had their own groups. As someone newer coming in, I didn’t feel all that included or especially welcomed.
Maybe it’s a better experience if you’re already part of that crowd, and maybe it used to feel warmer than it does now. For me, it wasn’t terrible or anything, just kind of disappointing

"Watersports were fun, food was hit or miss"
We mostly went for the watersports, and that part was good. The food and drinks, though, were a bit hit or miss and kind of disappointing. There weren’t many options, and what we ordered felt overpriced for the quality. The coffee was fine, but nothing I’d go out of my way for. I just wish they had more easy snack options, especially if you’re spending a few hours there.

"Customer service was okay, but a little slow"
I had to reach out to customer service about my order, and it took a little longer than I expected to get things sorted. To be fair, they did eventually respond and fix the issue, but I had to follow up twice. Not sure if they were just busy or if my request got missed, but it felt a bit average overall. Not awful, just not especially smooth either.

"Decent setup, but there’s room to improve"
Overall, the place was easy to deal with. Parking was okay, the shop wasn’t hard to find, and there was enough space to get sorted before heading out. The bathrooms and changing area were fine too, nothing fancy, but they did the job 🙂
I did feel like the main area was a little worn down and busy, though. A bit more seating and cleaner amenities would definitely help. It wasn’t a bad visit at all, just more average than I was hoping for.

"Wrong item showed up, then fixing it became a hassle"
I ordered a specific size and color from realwatersports.com, but the item that arrived wasn't what I chose. The packing slip had the right info, so it seems like someone just put the wrong product in the box.
Because of that mistake, I had to contact them, send photos, and wait for it to get sorted out. It wasn’t a huge issue at first, but the extra back-and-forth made it frustrating, especially after paying for the exact item I wanted
